PWA World Cup
The Fly! ANA Windsurfing World Cup Yokosuka Japan is being organized as part of PWA’s World Cup (World Tour) series.
The Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA. Headquarters: U.S.A.) authorizes the world’s top windsurfing events. Each year, the events are centered in Europe, and held in around 10 different countries in total.
The last event to be held in Japan was in Omaezaki, Shizuoka in 1993.
The Fly! ANA Windsurfing World Cup YOKOSUKA Japan Executive Committee, the organizer for this event, completed a contract with PWA on December 20, 2016, confirming the status of the event. The World Cup will finally be returning to Japan for the first time in 24 years.
